Collection: SPECTRUM

Presenting our very 1st collection: SPECTRUM. Spectrum can be defined as a band of colors, as seen in a rainbow, produced by separation of the components of light by their different degrees of refraction according to wavelength. it can also be defined as a condition that is not limited to a specific set of values but can vary, without gaps, across the continuum. A spectrum is inclusive, complementary, as well as comprehensiv. While we are all unique in our ways, we are all part of this and no one should be harmed or discriminated.

At Fuchsia Art Studio, we believe that love is love, and that acceptance, understanding, kindness, and compassion are keys to making the world a better place. When we first began working on this collection five months ago, it had always been our intention and goals that we leverage our love for nature to incorporate the beautiful colors of the spectrum into the collection and make them meaningful. SPECTRUM is the result of our effort. Consisting of 6 statement pieces on 8“ x 8“ cradled wood panels, each piece is made with five layers of resin. Handmade pigments were used for vibrant colors and then carefully hand poured to create the appearance of the geode. Intricate lines were then hand drawn to enhance the patterns that are found in minerals, producing a three-dimensional effect.

To support our cause, a portion of the sales proceeds will go to the @trevorproject , a US-based nonprofit organization that focuses on suicide prevention of LGBTQ and questioning youths. The collection can either be purchased in a set of 6 or individually. In the weekdays to follow, we will showcase a different piece from the collection each day, with additional info and photos.
